Light, Frame & Wandering Stories

17–20 November 2026 | Split & Dalmatia

This November, join Goran Jović and a small group of photography enthusiasts for four days of light, stories, exploration and connection across Split and Dalmatia.

This is not a traditional photography workshop.

It is an opportunity to spend time with Goran, hear his story, learn from the way he sees and photographs the world, and photograph alongside him - while discovering some of the places, people and landscapes that make Dalmatia our home.

Because we want the experience to feel personal and leave room for conversations, spontaneity, questions, inspiration, laughs and friendships, we are keeping the group small.

The Programme

Day 1
Tuesday, 17 November

Stories by the Fireplace

  • Check-in & Welcome Drink
    • Settle into Heritage Hotel Antique Split and meet the rest of the group.
  • Guided Split Old Town Tour
    • A relaxed introduction to Split and its history.
  • Group Welcome with Goran
    • In the late afternoon, we will leave the city behind and take an organised transfer to a small village just outside Split - a location we are keeping secret for now.
    • There, Goran will welcome the group and the photography journey will officially begin.
    • Expect local food, drinks, stories by the fire and time to get to know Goran and the people you will be spending the next few days with.
    • And, of course, your Antique Circle goodie bag will be waiting for you.
    • Organised transfer back to Split.

Day 2
Wednesday, 18 November

Good Morning, Good Night, Diocletian!

  • Sunrise Photography Session with Goran
    • An early start, before the city wakes up, using the first light of the day to photograph the streets, stone and details of Diocletian's Palace.
  • Breakfast | 7:30–9:00 AM
  • Split Photo Tour with Goran | approximately 2 hours
    • We continue exploring the Old Town together, looking at familiar places in a different way and discovering motifs that can later become part of the Antique Circle postcard project.***
    • There will also be time for a coffee break along the way.
  • Free time
    • Take some time for yourself - explore Split, have lunch, shop, relax at the hotel or simply wander.
  • Klis Fortress Sunset Session with Goran | approximately 2 hours
    • In the afternoon, we head towards Klis Fortress, which sits high above Split, overlooking the city and surrounding coastline. It is also known to many through Game of Thrones. We will arrive in time to explore the fortress and photograph the changing light as the sun begins to set over the Dalmatian landscape.
  • Organised transfer back to the hotel

Day 3
Thursday, 19 November

The Lakes, the Hawks & a Hidden Picnic

  • Breakfast | 7:30–8:30 AM
  • Field Photography Experience - Imotski Lakes & Birds of Prey with Goran | approximately 2 hours
    • Today we leave Split behind and head into the Dalmatian hinterland.
    • Our destination is the Imotski area, approximately an hour's drive from Split, known for two extraordinary natural phenomena - the Blue Lake and Red Lake. Imotski is also the area where Goran is from.
    • It is the perfect setting to spend time outdoors and photograph something completely different from the streets of Split.
    • Hawk and owl experience - just admire, photograph, or get photographed with these magnificent birds.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant
    • After the morning outdoors, we will stop for a relaxed lunch and a taste of local Dalmatian food.
  • Transfer to the Picnic
  • A Hidden Picnic with beautiful landscape
    • We will gather for a relaxed picnic.
    • Something sweet, some drinks and conversation - with the last light of the day.
    • We will take a moment to hand out the Antique Circle x Goran Jović certificates to our participants.
  • Organised transfer back to Split
  • Free evening
Day 4
Friday, 20 November

One Last Coffee

  • Breakfast | 7:30–10:30 AM
  • Farewell Coffee & Antique Circle Postcard Project
    • Before saying goodbye, we will gather for one last coffee and select the photographs that will become part of the Antique Circle postcard project.***
  • For anyone who was unable to join the guided Old Town tour on Day 1, there will be an opportunity to explore Split with us before departure.

The Antique Circle Postcard Project

We want this experience to continue beyond the four days you spend with us.

Each participant can select one photograph taken during the experience in Diocletian's Palace. The photographs will be professionally printed as Antique Circle postcards and shared with guests at Heritage Hotel Antique throughout the following year.

Each postcard will include the photographer's name and website and/or Instagram (if the participants agree), along with a note that the photograph was created during the Antique Circle experience.

  • Travelling with someone who isn't joining the photography experience?
    • If someone is travelling with you and sharing your room but does not wish to participate in the programme, there is no additional charge for their stay.
    • If they would also like to participate in the full Antique Circle experience, the additional fee is €360.

Good to know

Limited to 10 participants

The experience is designed for a small group, so places are limited.

Photography experience

Beginners and more experienced photographers are welcome. You can bring a camera, smartphone or whatever equipment you normally use. The focus is on light, frame, focus and emotions, rather than on having the most advanced equipment.

Room category

Room categories are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The sooner you reserve, the higher category will be awarded to you.

Extending your stay

Would you like to stay a little longer?

Participants can extend their stay at Heritage Hotel Antique Split at a special rate, subject to availability.

What about the weather?

We will be spending time outdoors, meaning the programme may be slightly adjusted in case of rain or unfavourable weather. We will make sure that the experience remains just as rich, and that everything included in the programme is still covered by the price.
